The Angolan company National Distillers, the producer of Best Whisky, Best Marula and Best Ginger brands, will export to the Congo and DR Congo from 2019 onwards.  

The company currently has a monthly production of 150 thousand boxes. Based on the strategic plan to reach those two countries, the spirits company will double its production to meet domestic needs as well.  

Since 2015, the plant has created 415 direct jobs, as well as indirect jobs across the country. According to National Distillers marketing coordinator Katyney Dias, the "great difficulty has been the importation of the raw material, as is the case of malt, sugar andother ingredients, that is not available on the national market."
