The company currently has a monthly production of 150 thousand boxes, according to the official who spoke to Angopon the penultimate day of the 34th edition of the International Fair of Luanda(FILDA/2018), which ends on Saturday.
Based on the strategic plan to reach theCongo and DR Congo, the spirits company will double its production to meet domestic needs as well.
In operation since 2015, the factory has created 415 direct jobs, as well as indirect jobs throughout the country.
According to the person responsible, the great difficulty has been the importation of the raw material, as is the case of malt, sugar and other ingredients, that is not available on the national market.
The 34th edition, which takes place in the Luanda Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEELB), has 372 exhibitors from 15 countries, 125 more compared to 2017.
The exhibition is attended by companies from Angola (host country), South Africa, Spain, United States of America, Ghana, The Netherlands, India, Italy, Macau, Portugal, United Kingdom, Russia and Sweden. Turkey, Uruguay, Japan and Mozambique are also exhibiting in anarea of approximately three hectares.
Russia and Ghana are the newcomers, while Brazil, a traditional participant, is the great absentee of this edition, which takes place under the motto "Diversify the Economy, Develop the Private Sector".
FILDA closes its doors this Saturday, with the gala to award the most outstanding exhibitors.
